Year of Inception - 2007
- Political Science, “the master science of all sciences”, as depicted by the father of Political Science, Aristotle, was inducted as a part of civics syllabus, in one of the General course subjects in B.A. class in the year 2007 at the time of inception of the college. Honours Course was introduced in 2018. The present faculty members with their utmost co-operation and unflinching determination are striding ahead towards attaining the goal of glorious achievements.
- All the highly efficient teachers of the department guide and encourage their students towards developing their talent in various fields by involving them in debates, seminars, symposium and Youth Parliament competition and inter-college quiz, sports and cultural activities. The department publish Wall- magazine ‘Bibek’ every year by the students on various social issues.
- Apart from formal academic activities the Department engages the students in watching videos of educational interests and parliamentarian activities in the smart class-room, visiting places of educational interests like Bidhan Sabha, Panchayats, Municipalities, Indian museum and International Borders various administrative Offices etc.
- The students as well as teachers lend books from the Central Library which has a collection of approximate 400 books.
