Departmental Profile
- The Department of Bengali of Amdanga Jugal Kishore Mahavidyalaya has been in existence since the inception of this college. Initially the Department was affiliated under Calcutta University in 2007-2008, it received affiliation from West Bengal State University. Bengali Programme (General)& Honours Course were introduced from the very beginning. At first the intake capacity is low but gradually it has been increasing. The demand for admission in this department is more than other departments. Sometimes the students of the Bengali department have set an example of unique achievements. In the case of Bengali Honours, in terms of normal average results, it is seen that two to five students passed with first class in every year. Students are involved in various cultural, social and creative activities throughout the year. In addition to day to day academic activities, Seminars, International language day celebration, Essays competition, Educational tours, etc. are held regularly. This department is committed to bring about a change in the overall intellectual framework and lifestyle of the students. At present there are six professor in this department.
